# Jot Down vs On Top To

The clearest difference is update cadence: Jot Down at every 3 weeks against On Top To's every 3 months. On Top To's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Jot Down costs $1.99 and On Top To $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On Top To holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Jot Down's written reviews are positive against 93% of On Top To's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jot Down ships an update every 3 weeks, On Top To every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
