# Hydrogen Stations USA vs EVCS

The clearest difference is rating: Hydrogen Stations USA at 4.5 against EVCS's 2.8. Hydrogen Stations USA also leads on ratings volume (646 vs 115). EVCS's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hydrogen Stations USA sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EVCS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hydrogen Stations USA holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydrogen Stations USA has 646 ratings behind it against 115, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Hydrogen Stations USA's written reviews are positive against 41% of EVCS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hydrogen Stations USA ships an update fortnightly, EVCS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
