# AfroIntroductions vs Melanin Harmony

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Melanin Harmony at none against AfroIntroductions's 10. Melanin Harmony also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). AfroIntroductions's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AfroIntroductions sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 7 days. Melanin Harmony asks for nothing beyond the download.

Melanin Harmony holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AfroIntroductions has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AfroIntroductions ships an update weekly, Melanin Harmony every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
