# AfroIntroductions vs CHARLéY

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CHARLéY at none against AfroIntroductions's 12. CHARLéY also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). AfroIntroductions's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AfroIntroductions sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 7 days. CHARLéY asks for nothing beyond the download.

CHARLéY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AfroIntroductions has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AfroIntroductions ships an update weekly, CHARLéY fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
