# GoodBox vs My Diary

The clearest difference is rating: My Diary at 5.0 against GoodBox's 1.0. My Diary also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). GoodBox's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days. GoodBox asks for nothing beyond the download.

My Diary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Diary has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GoodBox ships an update every 14 months, My Diary every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
