# Toolbox by Paperclip vs Update Me | Version Insights

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Toolbox by Paperclip at 66% against Update Me | Version Insights's 25%. Toolbox by Paperclip also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). Update Me | Version Insights's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toolbox by Paperclip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Update Me | Version Insights sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Update Me | Version Insights holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toolbox by Paperclip has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Toolbox by Paperclip's written reviews are positive against 25% of Update Me | Version Insights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Toolbox by Paperclip ships an update every 8 days, Update Me | Version Insights every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
