# Remote for Now vs Remote Control for Q

The clearest difference is monetization model: Remote for Now at free with in-app purchases against Remote Control for Q's subscription. Remote for Now also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Remote Control for Q's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote for Now sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Remote Control for Q sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remote for Now ships an update fortnightly, Remote Control for Q every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
