# STEPN vs LIVE4WELL

The clearest difference is rating: LIVE4WELL at 5.0 against STEPN's 4.2. LIVE4WELL also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). STEPN's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. STEPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and LIVE4WELL sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LIVE4WELL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: STEPN has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

STEPN ships an update monthly, LIVE4WELL fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
