# VGC Helper vs DL Compendium

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DL Compendium at none against VGC Helper's 3. DL Compendium also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). VGC Helper's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (567 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VGC Helper sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. DL Compendium asks for nothing beyond the download.

VGC Helper holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VGC Helper has 567 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of VGC Helper's written reviews are positive against 100% of DL Compendium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VGC Helper ships an update every 3 weeks, DL Compendium every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
