# Spy Detector vs SpyTracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: SpyTracker at free with in-app purchases against Spy Detector's subscription. Spy Detector's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 808). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spy Detector sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and SpyTracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Spy Detector against 4.5 for SpyTracker. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.9K and 808 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 27% of Spy Detector's written reviews are positive against 19% of SpyTracker's.

Spy Detector ships an update every 10 days, SpyTracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
