# Spy Detector vs Find Camera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Find Camera at free with in-app purchases against Spy Detector's subscription. Find Camera also leads on review sentiment (51% vs 27%). Spy Detector's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 11 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spy Detector sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Find Camera sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spy Detector holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.9K and 1.6K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Spy Detector's written reviews are positive against 51% of Find Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spy Detector ships an update every 10 days, Find Camera every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
