# BeTimeful vs App Blocker

The clearest difference is monetization model: App Blocker at free with in-app purchases against BeTimeful's subscription. App Blocker also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1). BeTimeful's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 63%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeTimeful sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and App Blocker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

App Blocker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 115 and 84 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of BeTimeful's written reviews are positive against 63% of App Blocker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BeTimeful ships an update fortnightly, App Blocker every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
