# MatHop vs Times Tables

MatHop and Times Tables both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MatHop's written reviews are positive against 64% of Times Tables's. MatHop also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16). Times Tables's advantage is ratings volume (7.8K vs 16) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MatHop sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Times Tables sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for MatHop against 4.5 for Times Tables. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Times Tables has 7.8K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of MatHop's written reviews are positive against 64% of Times Tables's.

MatHop ships an update every 2 months, Times Tables fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
