# GX Timer vs Anker Power

The clearest difference is rating: Anker Power at 4.5 against GX Timer's 4.0. Anker Power also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). GX Timer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Anker Power holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anker Power has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of GX Timer's written reviews are positive against 70% of Anker Power's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GX Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, Anker Power fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
