# GX Timer vs Sequence

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GX Timer at none against Sequence's 1. GX Timer also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Sequence's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequence sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. GX Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

GX Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, Sequence every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 7, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
