# Picket vs Real Image Compressor

The clearest difference is ads: Real Image Compressor at none against Picket's shown. Picket's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Picket sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Real Image Compressor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Picket ships an update weekly, Real Image Compressor every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
