# Fun Routine vs HabitHero

The clearest difference is rating: HabitHero at 5.0 against Fun Routine's 4.1. HabitHero also leads on review sentiment (68% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Fun Routine's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fun Routine sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and HabitHero sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HabitHero holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fun Routine has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Fun Routine's written reviews are positive against 68% of HabitHero's.

Fun Routine ships an update every 5 days, HabitHero every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
