# MNBG vs Filoli

The clearest difference is rating: Filoli at 4.9 against MNBG's 4.0. Filoli also leads on ratings volume (365 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). MNBG's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Filoli holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Filoli has 365 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

MNBG ships an update every 3 months, Filoli every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
