# ACTA™ vs Simple Modern

ACTA™ and Simple Modern both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ACTA™'s written reviews are positive against 74% of Simple Modern's. Simple Modern's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 224). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ACTA™ against 4.9 for Simple Modern. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Modern has 1.3K ratings behind it against 224, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of ACTA™'s written reviews are positive against 74% of Simple Modern's.

ACTA™ ships an update monthly, Simple Modern every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
