# JoyNovel vs WhosNovel

The clearest difference is update cadence: JoyNovel at every 2 months against WhosNovel's every 13 months. JoyNovel also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JoyNovel sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and WhosNovel sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JoyNovel ships an update every 2 months, WhosNovel every 13 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
