# Farcaster vs Affixdot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Affixdot at 100% against Farcaster's 51%. Farcaster's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Farcaster sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and Affixdot sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Farcaster holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Farcaster has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Farcaster's written reviews are positive against 100% of Affixdot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Farcaster ships an update every 5 days, Affixdot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
