# Farcaster vs Swiftgram

The clearest difference is rating: Farcaster at 4.6 against Swiftgram's 4.2. Farcaster also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Swiftgram's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 51%) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Farcaster sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and Swiftgram sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Farcaster holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.1K and 612 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Farcaster's written reviews are positive against 69% of Swiftgram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Farcaster ships an update every 5 days, Swiftgram monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
