# Farcaster vs BBOTHEAPP

The clearest difference is rating: Farcaster at 4.6 against BBOTHEAPP's 3.0. Farcaster also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). BBOTHEAPP's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 51%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Farcaster sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and BBOTHEAPP sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Farcaster holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Farcaster has 1.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Farcaster's written reviews are positive against 71% of BBOTHEAPP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Farcaster ships an update every 5 days, BBOTHEAPP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
