# FaceFun vs Vrefix Studio

FaceFun and Vrefix Studio both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of FaceFun's written reviews are positive against 25% of Vrefix Studio's. FaceFun also leads on ads (none vs shown). Vrefix Studio's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and chart position (#128 vs unranked). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceFun sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Vrefix Studio sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vrefix Studio holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 476 and 216 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of FaceFun's written reviews are positive against 25% of Vrefix Studio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FaceFun ships an update monthly, Vrefix Studio weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
