# Password PRO vs 星so

The clearest difference is rating: 星so at 4.6 against Password PRO's 3.7. 星so also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (83 vs 9). Password PRO's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 8 months). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password PRO sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. 星so asks for nothing beyond the download.

星so holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 星so has 83 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Password PRO's written reviews are positive against 70% of 星so's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Password PRO ships an update every 3 weeks, 星so every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
