# Discreet vs cam720

The clearest difference is ads: Discreet at none against cam720's shown. Discreet also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 31%) and device support (4 vs 2). cam720's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (13K vs 2.1K). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Discreet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and cam720 sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

cam720 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: cam720 has 13K ratings behind it against 2.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Discreet's written reviews are positive against 31% of cam720's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Discreet ships an update every 5 weeks, cam720 every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
