# VIVOSUN vs scentia

The clearest difference is rating: VIVOSUN at 4.7 against scentia's 4.0. VIVOSUN also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (8.7K vs 3). scentia's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VIVOSUN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIVOSUN has 8.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of VIVOSUN's written reviews are positive against 100% of scentia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VIVOSUN ships an update fortnightly, scentia every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
