# PDC Scan vs BudProof AI

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: BudProof AI at 13.0 against PDC Scan's 15.6. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDC Scan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BudProof AI sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDC Scan ships an update fortnightly, BudProof AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
