# 随记日记 vs Notebook

The clearest difference is update cadence: 随记日记 at every 5 days against Notebook's every 2 months. 随记日记 also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 随记日记 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Notebook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
