# Knit Pro vs Tin Can Knits

The clearest difference is rating: Knit Pro at 4.5 against Tin Can Knits's 4.1. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knit Pro sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month and Tin Can Knits sells 32 in-app purchases, starting at $16.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knit Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 149 and 135 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Knit Pro's written reviews are positive against 70% of Tin Can Knits's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Knit Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Tin Can Knits every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
