# Salsa App vs AI Girlfriend

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Salsa App at 100% against AI Girlfriend's 20%. Salsa App also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 16) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). AI Girlfriend's advantage is rating (3.6 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (539 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Girlfriend sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Salsa App asks for nothing beyond the download.

AI Girlfriend holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Girlfriend has 539 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Salsa App's written reviews are positive against 20% of AI Girlfriend's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
