# Dry Fire vs SecNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: SecNote at every 5 weeks against Dry Fire's every 5 months. Dry Fire's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dry Fire sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SecNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dry Fire ships an update every 5 months, SecNote every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
