# TP vs Dragon Shield

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dragon Shield at none against TP's 6. TP's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 3) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TP sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Dragon Shield asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for TP against 5.0 for Dragon Shield. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TP has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TP ships an update every 6 weeks, Dragon Shield every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
