# KeyMax VPN vs LocVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: KeyMax VPN at every 2 months against LocVPN's every 27 months. KeyMax VPN also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeyMax VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and LocVPN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KeyMax VPN ships an update every 2 months, LocVPN every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
