# KeyMax VPN vs DataSafe

The clearest difference is update cadence: DataSafe at every 3 weeks against KeyMax VPN's every 2 months. KeyMax VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeyMax VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and DataSafe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KeyMax VPN ships an update every 2 months, DataSafe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
