# ieGeek Cam vs ViewLink

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ieGeek Cam at 84% against ViewLink's 0%. ieGeek Cam also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 20) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). ViewLink's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 33) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ieGeek Cam sells 30 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. ViewLink asks for nothing beyond the download.

ViewLink holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ieGeek Cam has 1.6K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of ieGeek Cam's written reviews are positive against 0% of ViewLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ieGeek Cam ships an update every 2 months, ViewLink every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
