# Camera Scanner vs OKEN

The clearest difference is update cadence: Camera Scanner at every 9 days against OKEN's every 6 months. Camera Scanner also leads on ratings volume (791 vs 6) and review sentiment (66% vs 50%). OKEN's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Camera Scanner sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and OKEN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OKEN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Camera Scanner has 791 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Camera Scanner's written reviews are positive against 50% of OKEN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camera Scanner ships an update every 9 days, OKEN every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
