# Upgrade Run vs Sword Melter

The clearest difference is rating: Sword Melter at 4.8 against Upgrade Run's 3.0. Sword Melter also leads on ratings volume (64K vs 2) and chart position (#73 vs unranked). Upgrade Run's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (67% vs 48%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sword Melter sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Upgrade Run asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sword Melter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sword Melter has 64K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Upgrade Run's written reviews are positive against 48% of Sword Melter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
