# SSCAL vs Edchance

The clearest difference is update cadence: Edchance at every 5 weeks against SSCAL's every 4 months. Edchance also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). SSCAL's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SSCAL against 5.0 for Edchance. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SSCAL has 31 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SSCAL ships an update every 4 months, Edchance every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
