# BrickScan vs Catholic Misal

The clearest difference is rating: BrickScan at 4.9 against Catholic Misal's 4.3. BrickScan also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Catholic Misal's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (69% vs 60%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

BrickScan holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrickScan has 1.6K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of BrickScan's written reviews are positive against 69% of Catholic Misal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
