# Clear Wave vs Speaker Cleaner

The clearest difference is monetization model: Speaker Cleaner at free against Clear Wave's subscription. Clear Wave's advantage is review sentiment (22% vs 0%) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 117). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clear Wave sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Speaker Cleaner sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Clear Wave against 4.4 for Speaker Cleaner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clear Wave has 2.4K ratings behind it against 117, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 22% of Clear Wave's written reviews are positive against 0% of Speaker Cleaner's.

Clear Wave ships an update every 3 weeks, Speaker Cleaner fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
