# Clear Wave vs Minotez

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Minotez at 100% against Clear Wave's 22%. Minotez also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Clear Wave's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clear Wave sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Minotez sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minotez holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clear Wave has 2.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Clear Wave's written reviews are positive against 100% of Minotez's.

Clear Wave ships an update every 3 weeks, Minotez every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
