# Ellie vs PrepFlex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PrepFlex at none against Ellie's 3. PrepFlex also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). Ellie's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (60 vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ellie sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PrepFlex asks for nothing beyond the download.

PrepFlex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ellie has 60 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Ellie's written reviews are positive against 100% of PrepFlex's.
