# ElksTimer vs Stopwatch

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ElksTimer at none against Stopwatch's 1. ElksTimer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Stopwatch's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. ElksTimer asks for nothing beyond the download.

ElksTimer ships an update every 4 months, Stopwatch every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
