# focus vs Pomodoro app ®

The clearest difference is review sentiment: focus at 100% against Pomodoro app ®'s 0%. focus also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 4 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). Pomodoro app ®'s advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (31 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. focus sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Pomodoro app ® sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomodoro app ® holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pomodoro app ® has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of focus's written reviews are positive against 0% of Pomodoro app ®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
