# Piano Buddy vs Strikey

The clearest difference is update cadence: Piano Buddy at every 10 days against Strikey's every 4 months. Strikey's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Piano Buddy sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Strikey sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Piano Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Piano Buddy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Strikey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Piano Buddy ships an update every 10 days, Strikey every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
