# Note vs Smack P

The clearest difference is price: Smack P at Free against Note's $4.99. Note's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 9 months). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Smack P is free to download; Note costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Note holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Note ships an update every 6 days, Smack P every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
