# GeoFace vs Mapit GIS

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: GeoFace at 14.0 against Mapit GIS's 17.6. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GeoFace sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Mapit GIS sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
