# QR Code vs Open in Whatsup, Direct Chat

The clearest difference is rating: QR Code at 4.5 against Open in Whatsup, Direct Chat's 3.1. QR Code also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Open in Whatsup, Direct Chat's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Open in Whatsup, Direct Chat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Code holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code has 13K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of QR Code's written reviews are positive against 50% of Open in Whatsup, Direct Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
