# QR Code vs SnapQR

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SnapQR at 100% against QR Code's 33%. SnapQR also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). QR Code's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (13K vs 4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and SnapQR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapQR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code has 13K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of QR Code's written reviews are positive against 100% of SnapQR's.

QR Code ships an update every 9 days, SnapQR every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
